Yesterday, I wandered around Derby city centre with my camera, inspired by the “This is Derby” film made in the mid-1960s by Norman Fitchett and Pear Tree Junior School and released by the MACE screen archive a few days ago.
As I said in my brief review of the film, parts of Derby are still very recognizable today almost 50 years on. However, I hadn’t really expected the Laurie House multi-storey car park sign to be (almost) unchanged from 1966.
